Koenigsegg To Show Off Edition Models At Geneva Auto Show

Koenigsegg has decided to give us a sneak peek at their new exotic CCXR and CCX Edition supercars at the 2008 Geneva Auto Show. The two supercars have been talked about for the past three months – but having the chance to see them up close is something that we have yet to do.

We do have a bit of information on the two exotic supercars – but getting the chance to view them up close will give us a better idea at what they can dish out. For now we know that the CCX Edition will sport a V8 4.8 liter engine that has the ability to produce 888 horsepower. The CCXR will have the same engine except that it will be ethanol burning and it will be able to produce 1,018 horsepower.

Both models will come in the bare carbon fiber with red accents on the CCXR. Both will be given the special interior that will include leather carpets that match and special gadgets and controls.

Only 14 of the CCX Editions and 6 of the CCXR Editions will be made. In case you were wondering two have already been snatched up and each of them were bought for over $2 million each.
