The 4,000-pound Porsche will be available with a choice of 300 hp 3.6L V6, a 4.8L V8 packing 405 ponies, or 520 hp with forced induction, and prices are rumored to be between €80,000 and €125,000. Word on the street is that the V6 won’t be available until 2010 and a hybrid will follow for 2011.

The Panamera has been in the headlines for a long time, and hopefully the talented designers in Stuttgart have been taking their time making the beefy sedan look better than the preproduction model above. We find it hard to believe that Porsche will make an ugly vehicle, though. The Cayenne doesn’t count.

When the deal was first announced Tata stated that they wished to keep many of the original management. Yet, many of the jobs that were once manages by Ford are going to need someone new to fill them. As a result, the automakers are reportedly recruiting externally for several senior positions. Whether Tata ultimately decides to promote from within or hire a new chief executive from outside the company remains to be seen, but an announcement is expected as early as June 2.

This week they have released the official details of the AJ 21. They are using the best V8 supercharged engine that has been taken from 4.2 to 4.5 liters and the 500 horsepower reaching the 500 mark.

To make better use of the extra horsepower, Arden developed a sports suspension to keeps things planted at speed, while 21-inch “Sportline” wheels are up to the task of combining a bit of style with a dose of functionality. Arden is developing packages for the entire range of XFs.

They finally decided to join the rest of the supercars that have been residing there for some time now. There are a total on 20 Reventons making their way over to Vegas in a very large box. 19 of them have already been bought and sold before they were even pulled out of the factory. Not a bad start to a new beginning.

However, Juechter stated that GM has not yet run the fuel economy test on the car and he stated that the ZR1, “will be somewhat less [fuel-efficient] than a Z06,” which has been rated at 15/24 by the EPA, “and we expect a small gas-guzzler tax [on the ZR1].” Only 2,000 units will be put into production each year. Pricing has not yet been released.

Unfortunately the ZR1 accessories will not be available to the lesser Corvette model. This means that consumers will not be able to ask for carbon ceramic brakes on their Z06s. GM is working to make the vehicle lightweight. In fact this was one of their top priorities. That is why they will be staying away from using an AWD system because it “would have added too much mass.”

Most of the pressure financially will fall onto Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and other luxury brands with high-performance models. These new standards will possibly be quite costly. Some automakers like Porsche might find it easier to pay the fine associated with the new rules than changing a model lineup. Regulators are pressured to adopt a policy by April 1, 2009 . For now, the NHTSA will be taking public comments over the next two months.

First of all Bugatti will only be producing 80 cars – which is a big difference from the 300 that they produced last time around. Yet, that isn’t the only thing that will be different. Because the new Veyron will not have a top the chassis will be bigger in order to make up for the loss of rigidity –which will in turn make it heaver.

Don’t even bother trying to test out the speed of the vehicle that top speed is only 217 and that is low when compared to many supercars. You can get yourself the new Veyron 16.4 for a whopping £900,000! Yep that’s right along with all of these changes they have also raised the price from £840,000.

The Bugatti was first released in 2005 and ever since then the amount of cars being produced has steadily increased. They are again going to increase the amount being produced from their plant in Molsheim, France.
There will be a total of 300 Veyrons. 225 have been ordered and 135 have already been produced. Bugatti is hoping to take less time off this year to ensure that they get done at a reasonable time without having to rush the job. This ensures consumers that the quality of the car will not be compromised.

While this may only be a teaser picture and we may not see much of it at all it is enough to get us talking again. The Insignia will be replacing the Vectra or as we know it better – the Saturn Aura. It will become a sedan, five-door hatch, and a wagon and will be built on the platform of the FWD Epsilon II.

Opel has stated that it will also be given a few four and six cylinder engines and maybe even a hybrid drivetrain. The vehicle will be released later this year – but won’t be seen in the U.S. till 2010 under the guise of the Saturn Aura.

Pininfarina has joined together with the French Bolloré Group – one of the major battery producers – to build a plug-in fuel-cell hybrid car called the Sintesi. They are hoping to have the vehicle completed and ready to be distributed by 2010 in the U.S., Japan, and Europe.

The Sintesi concept has very smooth and rounded off edges giving it the appeal and perfect Italian design and look of a true sports car. The look of the car gives you the impression that it can only seat two and that it would have no back seat. However, we have it on good authority that the car can seat up to four people comfortably and has been built with four doors.

The body of the car has been designed and built around the mechanicals so as to allow the drivetrain to be shaped around the passengers. This specific design is called ‘liquid packaging’ and will free the car from any of the usual shapes and will also help to lower the center of gravity and to improve upon the weight distribution.

Pininfarina has stated that the Sintesi has the ability to have a top speed of 80 mph and can accelerate in 4.8 seconds to 31 mph. In the city the car can drive around 150 miles with only having to recharge completely for five hours. This means that if you need to drive only 15 miles you will only have to recharge for five minutes.
